There’s no better feeling than cuddling up with a good book. When the temperatures drop and you can put on your favorite sweatshirt, snuggle up with a blanket and a book, and sip on your favorite hot beverage, well, that’s a good day. For bookworms, a visit to the Louisiana Book Festival is an absolute must. Jam-packed with over 200 authors, poets, and scholars, this is one event that you should clear your calendar for.
The Louisiana Book Festival returns to Baton Rouge on November 2, 2019, and you’re not going to want to miss it.
Back for its 16th year, the festival takes over downtown Baton Rouge in the Louisiana State Capitol, State Library of Louisiana, Capitol Park Museum, and nearby streets.
The festival is free to enter and open to the public.
Come out and browse through an endless maze of books in every genre you could ever think of.
Celebrating readers and writers, the Louisiana Book Festival features over 200 writers, scholars, and poets from all over the country.
No matter what your favorite genre is, you’re bound to find something you love.
The one-day festival is jam-packed with all sorts of literary activities and exhibits.

There will be a wide array of both at this festival. Food stands will be set up along Spanish Town Road between the State Capital and the State Library. All your favorite cajun cooking will be available for purchase from some of the best local restaurants around.
