This 2-Mile Loop Trail In Louisiana Is Full Of Jaw-Dropping Waterfront Views

On the hunt for a new trail to tackle? Consider the Northlake Nature Center in Louisiana for your next outdoor adventure! This hidden gem in St. Tammany Parish offers visitors a chance to stroll through some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the Pelican State. This trail checks all of our favorite boxes: it’s short, it’s sweet, and it’s scenic. Oh, and it’s kid-friendly, too! What more could you ask for?

There are actually a few different trails within the Northlake Nature Center.

The trails are open from dawn until dusk every day, and you can mix and match them to best fit your schedule.
We'll be focusing on the North Loop Trail today, which is the green trail in the image above.

Don't worry, there are plenty of year-round birds that call the nature center home, and sightings of herons and egrets are pretty common in these parts.
