Enjoy Endless Scenery Along The Easy Breezy 1.5 Mile Restoration Park Trail In Louisiana
Restoration Park is a beautiful, 70-acre recreational park in West Monroe that’s home to a quick and easy nature trail that you’re going to love. Once the center for a sand and gravel mining operation, the park has quite an interesting history. The area was mined for about 50 years before becoming abandoned in the 1970s when it then fell victim to illegal dumping. In 1989, the city of West Monroe purchased the land and began the long process of turning rags to riches, developing the area to become a detention basin for floodwaters.

And now you know why they named it Restoration Park!

There's just something about watching a beautiful sunset over the water that just makes you fall in love with Louisiana all over again.
Restoration park is open every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Have you ever visited Restoration Park? Let us know in the comments.
