The Kisatchie National Forest sprawls across more than 600,000 acres, making it the ultimate playground for nature lovers and weekend warriors. The out-and-back trail clocks in at an impressive 31 miles. Of course, you don't have to hike the entire trail in one day, you can always do it in sections.
Each trail offers something unique, and many of the trails weave through little brooks and streams alongside the rolling hills, giving you the sense that you've left Louisiana entirely.
