Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is a lovely area in Southeastern Kentucky, surrounded by forest-covered hills and a 1,200-acre lake.
The resort itself is perched above the lake and has incredible views. If you're not staying at the resort, you can still take advantage of the public beach, secretly tucked between the hills.
The beach has just enough room to spread out and enjoy the sand and water.
