You Must Try The Flower Pot Bread At This Unique Southern Restaurant In Kentucky
The bread basket is often comprised of a few sorry, stale rolls, and really only something to nibble on while perusing a menu. But not the bread at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement. The restaurant’s iconic flower pot bread is one of its signature dishes; a delicious, buttery, pillow-soft, mountainous yeasty roll baked right in — you guessed it — a flower pot. The flower pot bread from Patti’s is worth the drive alone, but while you’re there, you might as well stay and enjoy a proper Southern feast full of Kentucky favorites.
As the story goes, one night as Miss Patti laid in bed, the image of bread in a flower pot came to her. The dream did not give directions or come with baking instructions, but Patti got to work, creating and modifying her recipe during the long winter months while the restaurant was closed. And then, voila! Patti's Flower Pot Bread was born.
Come for the bread, stay for the, well, everything else. Have you tried the flower pot bread from this Kentucky restaurant? It really does belong on your Kentucky dining bucket list!
