Climb A Floating Staircase To The First Cliff-Mounted Treehouse Rental In Red River Gorge In Kentucky
If you follow along with The Canopy Crew and their unique architectural wonders throughout Red River Gorge, then perhaps you’ve already seen a glimpse of this incredible overnight destination. In an effort to really highlight the natural features of the Gorge, The Canopy Crew dreamed up and then built Cliff Dweller. A cliff-mounted treehouse rental in Kentucky, it’s the first of its kind in Red River Gorge and you won’t believe the features (and the views!) of this one-of-a-kind adventurous destination in the Bluegrass.
Cliff Dweller is the first of its kind in Red River Gorge and takes the idea of a treehouse to an entirely new level. The Canopy Crew has several incredible overnight destinations in the area, but this one is especially memorable.
Its multiple rooms and floating staircase are attached to the rocky cliffside that has made the Gorge famous. You no longer have to be a skilled rock climber to scale these beautiful cliffs.
The Cliff Dweller offers two queen beds, a mini kitchen, a cozy breakfast nook, and unbelievable views. With both air-conditioning and heat, it's the perfect getaway spot any time of year.
When staying here, you'll enjoy surprisingly modern accommodations and everything you need to be comfortable. When packing, keep in mind that it's 177 steps to the kitchen and then even more to the master bedroom, so you may want to use backpacks and bags rather than suitcases and hard-sided coolers.
Once you're settled, prepare to relax in a space that is surrounded by natural beauty. With so many windows (how did they get those up there?!), it still feels like a treehouse, even though it's elevated on the side of a cliff.
One unique feature - and what we believe to be one of the best - is that Cliff Dweller has an elevated bathroom! Another incredible nod to the designers and those who implemented this construction, because having a bathroom just steps from your bed - while hanging from a cliff - is definitely a perk.
The views from the queen bed in the master bedroom are quite possibly the best in the entire Red River Gorge area. Relax as the sun goes down and you'll feel like you're sleeping in the trees.
Also be sure to spend time on the rooftop deck. Another special highlight of the property, this space is breathtaking and yet another feature to marvel at while staying at this cliff-mounted treehouse rental in Kentucky.
It really is unbelievable to think about how The Canopy Crew was able to build this amazing cliff-mounted treehouse rental in Kentucky. It’s connected to the rocky cliffs that Red River Gorge is known for and as much as we love to explore this area, you may be just fine staying in your very own retreat in the woods and taking it all in. Does this look like the ultimate overnight adventure to you? Let us know what you think in the comments and be sure to tag all of your adventurous friends!
