This Kentucky Restaurant Makes The Most Unique And Delicious BLT In The World
BLT, but make it Bluegrass. And possibly a little bougie. That’s the unique and delicious bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich that you’ll find at Goodwood Frankfort, a delicious dining spot in Kentucky’s capital city. Let’s dig in!
Located in the heart of Downtown Frankfort, overlooking the Kentucky River, Goodwood Brewing bills itself as *the* spot for burgers, brunch, and brews.
And it's true, Goodwood Frankfort excels at all these things. Small batch, specialty brews fill the taps, and a robust menu of pub classics includes all the favorites.
But we'd like to add another "b" to Goodwood's resume; namely, the Boujie BLT. This epic 'wich features pimento cheese, tomato, bacon jam, bacon, and lettuce that's sandwiched between two thick slabs of parmesan-crusted Texas Toast. It's outstanding.
To be fair, Goodwood Frankfort is kind of a master at reinventing classics. There's grilled cheese... and then there's a Mac N'Cheese Melt, which basically combines to comfort classics into one buttery, cheesy culinary masterpiece!
The dining area overlooks the commanding Kentucky River, that, when combined with an epic BLT and in-house brew, makes for quite a memorable dining experience in the Bluegrass State!
