The Anglin Falls Trail In Kentucky Is A 2-Mile Out-And-Back Hike With A Waterfall Finish

The time outdoors and the sense of adventure are definitely exciting enough on their own, but if you add in the anticipation of finding a waterfall, then the outing becomes even more appealing. This out-and-back hike is fairly easy and comes with a waterfall finish, perfect for all levels of adventurers in the Bluegrass State.

The Anglin Falls Trail is located on the edge of Daniel Boone National Forest, not far from Berea, Mt. Vernon, or Richmond. It makes for a great day trip from any of those areas and is easy enough for the whole family to enjoy.
At just under two miles, this out-and-back hike is scenic from beginning to end. You wind through the woods, amongst rock formations and natural beauty that changes with the seasons.
This is a great hike any time of year, but definitely be prepared for mud after rain or snow. Put on some sturdy, waterproof shoes and head down until you reach the waterfall.
The view of the falls from this point is stunning and even in the winter, it's framed in green. The flow of the water depends on weather patterns, but there is typically something to see here.
And then as you head back out, especially after wet weather, look for pop-up waterfalls and cascades that add even more natural beauty to this short and easy waterfall hike in Kentucky.
There are plenty of chances to experience a waterfall trail in Kentucky and this hike to Anglin Falls is an all-around great adventure.
