Osage Nature Trail is a long but easy trail in Walton, Kansas. Just about 10 miles east of Newton, it's a great trail for people looking to take a long, leisurely stroll through some beautiful nature.
The trailhead is just off of NE 24th Street, which is not too far from Harvey County East Park. The loop trail is about seven miles and typically takes about three hours to complete. So bring some snacks and water and make an afternoon of it!
If you love walking amongst large trees, you will love this trail. The trees stun year-round and even when they've lost their leaves. Some parts of the trail have you feeling as though you're walking through a tunnel of trees!
Watch your step for fallen fruit! The winding loop trail sometimes has some fallen fruit - not the edible kind - so keep an eye out for it.
