11 Festivals In Kansas That Food Lovers Should Not Miss
Okay foodies, listen up: If you love trying new things and mingling with fellow food lovers, today’s post is for you! ‘Tis the season to overeat and enjoy life, but don’t even consider starting a diet at the beginning of 2017, as Kansas is home to these 11 food festivals throughout the year that are not to be missed:

1. Flint Hills Beef Fest (Emporia)
Where's the beef? It's in Emporia, of course! The Flint Hills Beef Fest features eating contests, free breakfast, and -- of course -- lots of beef! (The date of the 2017 Flint Hills Beef Fest is TBA.)
2. Fiesta Mexicana (Topeka)
The next Topeka fiesta takes place July 11th through the 15th and will feature music, dancing, and lots of delicious Mexican food!
3. The Taste (Hays)
While the date for the 2017 Taste has yet to be announced, be sure to keep your eyes peeled, as tickets to the event are limited and include incredible food, fashion shows, and samples from the many Downtown Hays businesses.
4. Meatloaf Festival (Paxico)
Any guesses as to what you'll be sinking your teeth into at this comfort food festival? (Dates for the 2017 Meatloaf Festival are TBA.)
5. National Festival of Breads (Manhattan)
Good news! Baking entries for the 2017 National Festival of Breads, which is scheduled to take place June 17th, are currently being accepted! Do you have what it takes to WIN it all?
6. The Taste of Newton (Newton)
For more than 30 years, the Taste of Newton has gifted attendees with a chance to try all the best food that the Newton community has to offer and next year (with a date TBA) will be no exception.
7. Midwest Beerfest (Wichita)
The date for the next Wichita Midwest Beerfest has yet to be determined, so there is still plenty of time to build up your alcohol tolerance in order to try the many unique beers at this event.
8. Salute! A Festival of Wine and Food (Lawrence)
Not a big beer drinker? No problem! I will see you at Salute!, which runs July 13th through the 15th and benefits the not-for-profit Cottonwood, Inc.
9. International Pancake Day (Liberal)
Pancake feeds, races, and chases? Now you're speaking my language! (The date for the 2017 International Pancake Day is TBA.)
10. Big Blue River Days (Marysville)
Not only does the Big Blue River Days have epic concerts and events, they also have lots of epic BBQ that is truly "finger lickin' good!" (2017 dates TBA.)
11. Wichita Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cookoff (Wichita)
