Hot Air Balloons Will Soar At Kansas’s Annual Sunflower Balloon Fest

Dozens of festivals take place around the Sunflower State every single year. However, there is one large festival in a very small town that will take your breath away. Filled with colors, activities, and unforgettable experiences, the annual Sunflower Balloon Fest in Kansas may become one of your favorite events of the year.

Hop in your car and travel to the beautiful small town of Anthony in Southern Kansas for the 22nd Annual Sunflower Balloon Fest. This family-friendly event will keep you busy the entire weekend.

This three-day event features a long list of activities that adults and children will enjoy. At the beginning of the festival, you can get up close to many of the balloons and watch them fly or glow from the Anthony Airport.

Each morning the balloons will launch high in the sky. Don’t forget to bring your camera as the view is beautiful.

You can sign up to soar above the clouds in a hot air balloon. Of course, tethered balloon rides are also available if you want to stay a little closer to the ground.

Throughout the festival, you can shop at one of the many food and craft vendors in downtown Anthony, fly kites at the kite festival, enjoy free tours of the Historical Museum of Anthony, watch a parade, and much more. It is a day packed with activities.
