You’ll Absolutely Love This ’50s-Themed Diner In Indiana

It’s great to live in modern day Indiana, with apps to deliver food to you and online ordering options. While this technology is great, it can get a little overwhelming. Wouldn’t it be nice to step back in time and enjoy classic American food without all the fuss? This nostalgic 1950s diner in Indiana is the perfect retreat from your busy life.

Slip back into the past at Rock-Cola '50s Cafe, located on the east side of Indianapolis. This quaint cafe is tiny, but bursting with vintage charm.

When you step inside the retro eatery, you'll be blown away with the authentic vintage design. From the black and white checkered floor to the powder teal booths and bar stools, you'll know you've entered somewhere unique.

From floor to ceiling, you'll find incredible 50s memorabilia that will have you feeling nostalgic. From movie posters to celebrity images to vintage artwork and light fixtures, there's no shortage of charm packed inside of this itty bitty diner.

There's even a special James Dean booth, where you can enjoy one of the hottest spots in the diner.

You'll also find a vintage Coca Cola machine - the same kind that would have been present in every diner back in the '50s.

The food is just as good as you remember, too. Their famous cheeseburgers, including their buffalo bacon burger, will impress even burger snobs.

They're also well known for their Philly cheesesteaks, corn-beef grilled Reubens, ribeye steaks, pork chop sandwich, and grilled tenderloins.

Another nostalgic item you'll find here is Choc-ola, a chocolate milk beverage that was invented in the '40s in Indianapolis and became popular across the country in the 50s. Choc-ola is difficult to find now, but this retro diner has it in spades.

Rock-Cola is also rumored to have the absolute best breakfast in the city, if not all of central Indiana. You'll find heaping portions of traditional items like eggs and pancakes here.

They also have a pretty epic breakfast buffet, so you can create your own ultimate breakfast.
