Element Moline is a part of the Westin chain of inns owned by Marriott, but it is anything but your typical hotel. It opened in March of 2018 in an old warehouse along the Mississippi River that has a great deal of history.
This renovated space belonged to Crandall Transfer & Warehouse Co. in the 1920s and 1930s before being sold to Pioneer Transfer & Storage Co. From 1950 to 1960, it was a warehouse for Sears, Roebuck & Co. Today, it belongs to the city and is part of a plan for a train station that would receive passengers from Chicago.
This vintage warehouse hotel has many lovely amenities. Some guests stay here specifically when they visit the Quad Cities in order to use the indoor pool.
There is also a beautiful fitness center with treadmills, stationary bikes, and other equipment. Both the pool and exercise room feature large, historic windows that let in natural light.
There are 96 unique rooms in total at this hotel. Twenty-one of them are standard rooms but the other 75 are intended for extended stays as well as for guests who just prefer a little extra space.
Most rooms run between about $100 and $130 per night. The extended stay suites include a full kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, stovetop, and sink. Each features a mix of rustic and chic decor with exposed brick and brightly painted walls.
Guests are welcome to enjoy several community areas, each of which is bright and open. Take the time to work, relax, or socialize indoors or out. There are also conference rooms for private meetings.
Element Moline is located in the city's lovely downtown near many restaurants, bars, and malls. It is also near the TaxSlayer Center and the John Deere Pavilion. If you want to be near all the action, this is the place to stay.
