Established in 2009, Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery in northwest Illinois is known for its organic vegetables, on-site tap room, and Midwest views. In 2011, it moved to the 10-acre farm it currently inhabits.
The taproom is located inside one of the barns on the property. Whether you sit in the outdoor beer garden or inside, you'll find plenty of charm and atmosphere.
The menu at this remote farm restaurant consists of pub food classics like giant pretzels, cheese popcorn, chips, and a plate of crackers paired with local cheese. On special food days, you may find items like chili, brats, cheese curds, pizza, and more.
Guests can even order a flight to test out all the varieties of beer available in the taproom. Tours of the brewery and farm are also available and take place on Saturdays between May and October. The cost is $10 per person, and the tour lasts 30 to 40 minutes and includes a souvenir pint glass.
Wishful Acres Farm's Taproom is only open three days each week. Hours are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
