There Is An Entire Christmas Village In Idaho And It’s Absolutely Delightful

The Village At Meridian is one of Treasure Valley’s greatest shopping centers. But what many Idahoans don’t realize is this area becomes the ultimate Christmas village in Idaho every year. Decorated to the nines and packed with activities almost every day of the week, this Idaho Christmas village is one destination where you can not only finish your Christmas shopping, but you are going to leave filled with holiday cheer.

Throughout the year, the Village at Meridian is the ultimate shopping destination in Idaho. This massive shopping center is home to more than 100 shops, restaurants and cafes, a cinema, and more.

However, when the Christmas season arrives, this shopping center transforms into a Christmas village complete with activities the entire family will enjoy.

As you walk around, you’ll see thousands of twinkling lights. You’ll even find large holiday-themed décor including cottages, making you feel more like you are in the North Pole, rather than Meridian, Idaho.

After you have walked around this winter wonderland, you can head to the outdoor ice rink and glide on the ice while surrounded by festive decor.

The Village at Meridian Ice Rink is open from mid-November until mid-January. This is reservation-based skating and you can place your reservation on the Village at Meridian website.

Beginning with a tree-lighting ceremony in November and lasting until Christmas, there are activities hosted in this Christmas village that will put the whole family into the holiday spirit.

You can spend a morning enjoying breakfast with Santa or even leave a letter for the big man himself in a special mailbox in the village. If you leave your address, Santa may even send a response!

All throughout December, you can take photos with Santa and meet other winter characters. Your pet can even join in on the fun on certain days throughout the Christmas season.

Other holiday events at this Christmas village in Idaho include story times, reindeer meet-and-greets, service projects, and more.
