Where can I find some of the best river tubing in Idaho?

While there is nothing like soaring down a mountain on a tube at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area, we sure love river tubing in Idaho. There are multiple rivers throughout the state that are perfect for floating the river. One of our favorite lazy rivers is the Boise River. This is a popular destination for river tubing and it is also where you can find one of the longest river floats in all of the state. If you choose this river, we suggest beginning your adventure at Barber Park and floating for nearly six miles to Ann Morrison Park.

What are some other unique places to visit in Idaho?

There is never a shortage of places to visit and things to do in Idaho, regardless of the season. One of our favorite seasons in Idaho is summer as the outdoor recreation opportunities become endless. If you are looking for someplace unique to visit during the summer in Idaho, check out Balanced Rock. This unique rock formation can be found near Castleford and it’s quite a remarkable sight. The rock is huge — it weighs nearly 40 tons! It is 48 feet tall but is balanced just perfectly on a rock that is only 3 feet by 17 inches. Make sure to bring a picnic lunch and stay for a while when visiting this fascinating natural feature. There are grassy areas, picnic tables, and a creek, making for a delightful day trip destination.
