This Mountain Tubing Adventure Is A Must Have In Idaho This Summer
Winter sports may be what Idaho’s known for best, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop once the snow starts to melt. In fact, summer is an amazing time to have some unforgettable adventures in the Gem State. There’s one resort that really steps up their game when it comes to having fun in the sun by offering up some irresistible mountain tubing action—sans snow, of course. Ride down the mountain and take in the views or try your best to race your friends to the bottom. This is a must-do summer adventure.
For over 75 years, Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area has been the go-to spot for winter recreation in Boise, Idaho. However, it's actually a fantastic destination to visit year-round. Yes, even in the summer!
In fact, Bogus Basin offers a plethora of spring, summer, and fall activities so you can have fun all year long. One of their most unique attractions is the summer tubing hill, and you'll definitely want to take a ride on it soon.
It turns out that tubing isn't just for winter. The resort is home to some incredible tubing slides, perfect for racing down the mountain at top speeds. Comprised of two 300-foot-long lanes, the thrill of sliding down the mountain is unlike anything you've ever experienced.
A single hour-long session costs $15. Alternatively, you can indulge in unlimited tubing with the day pass which costs $39 for children and $49 for adults. And don't worry, there's a surface lift that will take you back up to the top so you can ride down again and again without getting tired.
However, mountain tubing isn't the only thing that Bogus Basin has going for it during the off-season. The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster is another must-do. Recognized as the only mountain coaster in Idaho, the exhilarating ride through the woods will have you screaming with glee.
Other one-of-a-kind attractions include the Bungee Trampoline, Climbing Wall, Mining Sluice, and even chairlift rides. Of course, hiking and biking trails are also in abundance on the mountain and are definitely worth exploring.
Here in Idaho, the fun doesn't stop once the snow starts to melt. We Idahoans can actually get very creative when it comes to dreaming up ways to have fun within our state's natural landscapes!
