The hike can be found within Blue Creek Bay Recreation Site, located in the Wallace Forest Conservation Area. A popular spot for biking, picnicking, fishing, and hiking, there's definitely a plethora of natural beauty to be explored here.
The Blue Creek Trail was formed out of an old network of logging roads in the area. The trail is well-maintained and contains little elevation gain, making it the perfect outing for hikers of all skill levels. It's only 2.6-miles long, but it definitely packs in a ton of scenic beauty.
This gorgeous forest trail starts off at the beautiful Blue Creek Bay, located on the east end of Lake Coeur d'Alene. You'll find it off of Yellowstone Trail Road, which can be accessed from the Wolf Lodge Bay exit on I-90.
As you set off on the trail, you'll immediately be led into a dense forest of towering pine trees. Meandering through the forest, you can't help but become totally immersed in the forest's serene setting.
As you continue on, the trail will lead you through lush meadows surrounded by trees. Depending on the time of year you complete this hike, you'll come across a wide variety of gorgeous plants and wildflowers.
