Located right along Highway 55 in the town of Banks, this iconic cafe has been around for over a century as a pit stop for hungry travelers and adventurers.
Described by its owners as "more like a community center than a restaurant", the love for this little roadside cafe is apparent from the moment you arrive. A convenience shop that also boasts mouthwatering food, you'll yourself returning again and again to experience the cafe's charm.
The cafe has just the type of food you want after spending a few hours on the road. With dishes like the North Fork Burger, Go Left Chorizo Sandwich, Bad José's Loaded Fries or Tots, and the Kayakers Quesadilla, you'll be more than pleased with the delicious selection.
The cafe serves breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and lunch and dinner from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Breakfast dishes include all of your favorite classics, like the Bear Valley Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Waffles, or the Main Breakfast - a plain and simple breakfast plate.
Of course, no Idaho adventure is complete without a pint of cold beer - extra points if it's from a local brewery. The cafe always has a great selection of beer on tap for you to enjoy after a day of rafting, kayaking, or hiking in the area.
