Waimea Falls is a gorgeous waterfall that cascades down to a beautiful turquoise swimming hole.
Located inside the Waimea Valley, the Waimea Valley Trail is an easy hike for every age and ability. It’s an easy, well-maintained path that takes you all the way to the swimming hole and waterfall.
The entire trail is only 1.9 miles long, out and back.
You’ll have great views of the surrounding lush tropical rainforest and the botanical gardens. The entire elevation gain is only 272 feet total, which makes this trail easy even in the heat.
We love that the trail is paved, increasing accessibility.
Strollers, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices will find this an excellent stroll to enjoy. Some slopes do hit 8%, so be aware in case you need additional assistance along the way.
If you do want to swim in the falls, make sure you pick up a life jacket before you jump in.
And if anyone in your party is unable to complete the walk, there is a golf cart ride you can purchase to ride there and back in style. You can even ride just one-way if you’d rather not walk back to the car.
