You might’ve read that headline and did a double take – after all, southwest Georgia isn’t particularly known for its cold winters. Many people prefer to celebrate Christmas in Georgia in the more northerly portions of the state, where you’re more likely to see snow or cold weather. It’s not uncommon at all to wear shorts at Christmas in southwest Georgia. But that doesn’t mean the region doesn’t have great holiday celebrations! One of our favorites is the Southwest Georgia Tinsel Trail, a magical collection of over 100 trees that are all decked out for the season. This is such a fun way to get into the holiday spirit, even if it’s not that cold outside!
