Everywhere you go there’s Christmas music playing, shoppers scurrying to buy gifts for loved ones and Christmas decorations on store fronts and street lights. It’s that time of year again to go see one of Georgia’s spectacular light shows. There are so many amazing shows to pick from this year that you may just have to visit a few. Bundle up the kids and visit one of these 10 Christmas towns in Georgia for a magical time!

Atlanta is home to some of the best light show displays in Georgia. The Atlanta Botanical Garden is known to throw a spectacular light show every year from November 14th through January 9th. Their light show features orchestral orbs glowing along to holiday tunes, a tunnel of light, and a glittering galaxy. This event was named as one of the best holiday light shows in the country by USA Today.

Experience millions of lights at the Stone Mountain Christmas shows. They have so many exciting new pieces to their show this year, such as a new live children’s show, The Littlest Christmas Tree, a Singalong Christmas Train and a Snow Angel that flies high to create snow and fireworks. It’s definitely going to make your Christmas holiday a memorable one!

Lanier Islands in Buford is the place to be this Christmas season. From November 20th through January 3rd, they have a holiday light display that is larger than life. While you drive through you can listen to Christmas songs on your radio, and then end your night at the Holiday Village to pay Santa a visit and ride carnival rides.

A trip to the Barnsley Resort in Adairsville is a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season. This 1800s manor house is decked out in festive Christmas décor . The entire place--gardens and village included--is draped with more than a million lights. You can choose to stay overnight or just go on a self-guided tour and have dinner.

Lookout Mountain is not only a really fun place to visit Lover’s Leap and hike, it’s also a winter wonderland during the Christmas season. Rock City’s Enchanted Garden of Lights is a yearly tradition that was even featured on ABC’s show, The Chew. This show features more than 30 holiday scenes and LED lights. While you watch the twinkling lights enjoy hot cocoa. You can even have dinner with Santa, Jack Frost, the ice queen and the Dancing Forest!

Visit The Rock Ranch for a spectacular display of more than a million lights. They also have nightly entertainment in the pavilion, gingerbread cookie decorating and a chance to eat dinner with Santa Claus.

The holiday light show in Callaway Gardens is another one you just have to go see this holiday. It was named as one of the top 10 places to see holiday lights by National Geographic Traveler!

Take a 1.25 mile train ride through the Okefenokee Swamp Park Annual Light Show. Afterwards get a snack of gator tail at the Peach Pit Snack Shack. Make sure to get there early as tickets are sold at the entrance at 4:30 pm each evening and are on a first come-first served basis.
