If great eats served up in a vintage diner sounds like your idea of a good time, Broadway Diner’s got your name written all over it! The classic diner has a long, storied history, which began in the 1950s in New Jersey. But for quite some time now, it’s called Wisconsin home, and it's been a local favorite for nearly as long.
When you’re ready to “put a little diner in your day,” head to Broadway Diner in downtown Baraboo.
The diner opened in 2012. But don’t be mistaken; its retro appearance is as authentic as can be. It’s a vintage Silk City Diner and was built in 1954 in Paterson, NJ.
From the time it was manufactured until 2005, the diner moved several times and has had just as many monikers.
Finally, in 2012, it was moved to Baraboo and restored to its former glory.
Upon its relocation to Baraboo, the eatery’s owners added on to the diner to allow for extra seating and restrooms. And though the addition isn’t authentically retro, it sure looks that way!
The vintage flair is only outshined by the tasty fare.
In addition to “gourmet hash in a flash,” the menu is overflowing with diner classics, like all-day breakfast and burgers.
The dessert selection is just as enticing. Indulge in homemade pies, cookies, malts, and sundaes.
A feast for the eyes AND the stomach, Broadway Diner serves up one of the state’s best culinary adventures!

This isn’t the only diner dishing out the nostalgic charm. There’s one that’s modeled after a classic 1940s diner and it’s a must-visit.
