Wisconsin’s Top Secret Spy-Themed Restaurant Serves Up Fun For The Entire Family

I spy with my little eye…SafeHouse, a spy-themed restaurant that serves up fun for all ages! The restaurant takes its theme pretty seriously, so you can expect lots of spy lingo and tons of themed décor. And in true undercover fashion, you’ll need a password to enter. Take a look:

Hidden in a Milwaukee alleyway near The Pabst Theater and The Bronz Fonz, a visit to SafeHouse is fun right from the start.

Posted out front, a plaque with the eatery's address lets you know you're in the right place. But finding SafeHouse is just the beginning of your mission.

The next step is making it past the bouncer, which requires a password that can be found with a bit of online research. Entering sans password is an option but requires the completion of a silly task, such as hopping around like a bunny.

(If you choose the latter, make sure to smile – diners can watch your performance via a TV inside the restaurant. It's all in good fun!)

You’re bound to be amazed as you walk in and take in all that awaits.

And don’t be shy about looking around – visitors (or should we say fellow spies) are welcome to explore the unique surroundings.

The interior is made up of numerous rooms that represent different countries, so there’s basically a surprise around every corner.

Unique décor, including Cold War artifacts, cover the walls.

Among the eclectic collection of wall decor, the colorful wall-sized puzzle is bound to get your attention – and rightfully so. It’s actually the world’s largest mechanical puzzle.

Dedicated staff, who take their jobs seriously, only add to the fun with silly puns and spy lingo.

After one glance at the menu, it’s clear that the tasty options are as plentiful as the spy-themed fun. Indulge on everything from burgers and sandwiches to BBQ and fried fish.

A great visit any time of day – or night – SafeHouse is rated one of downtown Milwaukee’s top late-night spots, boasting a stocked bar, music, and special events.
