Now an Oshkosh landmark, Ardy & Ed’s Drive In has been serving up great grub and vintage vibes since opening in 1948.
Though the eatery started off as an A&W drive-in, it’s been Ardy & Ed’s since the 1970s. Regardless of the name, it’s always been known for its tasty draft root beer – among other things.
Aside from its name, not much has changed at the drive-in over the years. The menu still boasts an array of fast food classics.
Fill up on burgers, hot dogs, crinkle cut fries, and other favorites.
And make sure to save room for dessert. The sweet selection features a variety of ice cream-based treats and old-fashioned root beer floats, of course.
Serving up a classic drive-in experience, the food at Ardy & Ed’s is delivered by carhops on roller skates. And to really make sure diners are transported to the past, 50s and 60s music is played over the drive-in's speakers.
Don’t want to eat in your car? No problem; there are several picnic tables on-site as well as a small indoor dining area.
There’s also a small gift shop, where you’ll find nostalgic souvenirs to commemorate your visit to the Oshkosh institution.
Doling out fantastic food in a setting to match, it’s easy to see why Ardy & Ed’s Drive In has endured all these years.
