I/O Arcade Bar In Wisconsin Will Take You Back In Time

I/O Arcade Bar in Madison offers a nostalgic gaming experience with vintage video games and a fully stocked bar for adults.

It’s all fun and games…and alcoholic beverages at I/O Arcade Bar! The perfect place to relive the glory days, the adults-only hangout is filled with vintage video games and pinball machines. The over-21 fun doesn’t end there, though. There’s also a fully stocked bar that’s stocked with a variety of beers and specialty cocktails. Take a look:

Housed in a former warehouse, I/O Arcade Bar is located on Williamson Street in Madison.

Still fairly new, the arcade-bar combo opened at the end of 2018 after four years of extensive planning.

Described as a place for drinkers with a gaming problem, the adults-only hangout boasts cold beers, tasty cocktails, and a huge selection of video and board games.

A true blast from the past, the 2,800-square-foot facility features a variety of vintage video games and pinball machines.

All in all, there are over 50 arcade games to choose from.

The retro collection includes a ton of 80s classics, like Super Mario Brothers, Rampage, and Frogger – just to name a few.

Later-era favorites, such as Area 51, are also part of the game mix.

And just like arcade games of yesteryear, most games at I/O cost just 25¢ to play.

Like we said before, I/O is a 21+ establishment; however, gamers of all ages are welcome every Sunday, from 11 a.m. – 1p.m.

Offering visitors the chance to feel like kids again – with the addition of adult beverages – it’s easy to see why I/O is already a local favorite!

I/O Arcade Bar is open Monday - Wednesday from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m., Thursdays from 4 p.m. – 12 a.m., Fridays from 4 p.m. - close, Saturdays from 11 a.m. - close, and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. For more information, visit the I/O Arcade Bar website or Facebook page.
