Some of Wisconsin’s best restaurants have been around for a while. In Whitefish Bay, there’s a family-owned restaurant that’s been around for more than a century, and it’s better than ever. Jack Pandl's Whitefish Bay Inn is a must-visit stop on the Milwaukee area food scene – it’s a place with a throwback atmosphere and a classic menu filled with delicious offerings. Feeling hungry? Read on to see why you should make reservations at Jack Pandl's, one of the best Family-Owned Restaurants in Wisconsin.

The Jack Pandl's story begins way back in 1915 when Whitefish Bay was still a place with farmland. Yes – in those days, the urban area of Milwaukee had not completely overtaken the town.

The restaurant opened up across the street from the old Pabst Whitefish Bay Resort, a destination with beer gardens, a bandstand, and a Ferris Wheel.

The resort is long gone, but Jack Pandl's continues its culinary tradition in the same spot. The building is basically unchanged from 1915, and it’s still run by the same family - and it’s still serving up some of the same great dishes!

The restaurant is a historic landmark, and the interior will take you back in time. There’s even an old-school collection of beer steins and soft Tiffany-style lamps.

If you love a great meal, you’ll enjoy dining at Jack Pandl's. The menu has items like whitefish and steak, as well as German classics like a sausage platter that comes loaded with frankfurter, knackwurst, and bratwurst sausage.

But whatever you do, save room for dessert. Jack Pandl's has some wonderful house-made offerings, including pie and a traditional Strawberry Schaum Torte.

Jack Pandl's Whitefish Bay Inn is open daily – you’ll find it in the heart of Whitefish Bay, not far from the waterfront. Learn more about the restaurant on its website. If you’re still hungry for old-school Milwaukee area food, make plans to dine at this urban castle.
