Open seasonally from May thru October, Wedl’s Hamburger Stand is located in historic downtown Jefferson.

Housed in a red 8 x 8 shack, it’s one of the smallest burger joints in the area. It’s also one of the oldest – Wedl’s started grilling up burgers in 1916…but not just any burgers.

The hamburgers at Wedl’s have been deemed some of the best in the Midwest, which explains the line of people usually found outside.

Consistently delicious, the eatery has been using the same recipe since opening all those years ago.

Perfectly seasoned and full of flavor, the burgers don’t come with typical toppings, like lettuce or tomato, because, well, you don’t need ‘em.

The tasty burgers will not only tantalize your taste buds, though.

Offering single, double, and triple burgers, they’re sure to satisfy appetites of all sizes.

Wedl’s is more than a tiny shack with amazing burgers, though.

In an adjacent building, you’ll find an ice cream parlor, along with indoor seating.
