One Bite Of The Sourdough Pizza At The Pizza Slice In West Virginia Will Ruin You For Life

The Pizza Slice at Snowshoe Village offers unique, homemade sourdough pizzas and other delicious treats, making it a potential new favorite for pizza lovers.

What's your go-to pizza place? Most likely, you have more than one since we've got plenty of choices in West Virginia. Actually, believe it or not, we've got the most pizza restaurants per capita of any state in the nation. But here's a pizza place that's fairly new to the scene, and it just might become your new favorite!

Pizza is food. Good food. In fact, it's a common favorite food, especially if you've got kids in the house.

But it's also art, and inside the Corduroy Inn at Snowshoe Village, the folks at The Pizza Slice are hard at work crafting masterpiece after masterpiece of fresh, flavorful, delicious pizza.

They start with a unique, homemade sourdough...

...which is rolled and kneaded and stretched into the perfect crust.

That sourdough circle is then topped with a homemade sauce - tomato or alfredo - and slipped into a custom wood-fired oven.

And a few minutes later, out comes a masterpiece of melt-in-your-mouth perfection.

Seriously, one bite and we promise, you'll be hooked!

On the menu, you'll find options like Spinaccoli, Mediterranean, Carnivore, and Wild Shroom.

They also serve a few types of salads, several flavors of gelato, and a handful of other desserts, including cake and cobbler.

The Pizza Slice is located inside The Corduroy Inn at Snowshoe Village, which is perched at the top of the Western Express Chairlift.

They're open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through the summer, with evening delivery available.

So next time you're in Snowshoe for the weekend, whether you're hiking, skiing, or just relaxing, make sure you try the newest pizza place in town, and let us know what you think! In the meantime, find them on Facebook here.
