No Other Restaurant In West Virginia Has An Incredible View Like This One
The Front Porch Restaurant at Seneca Rocks offers stunning views and delicious food, making it a perfect spot for a scenic dining experience.
We have to admit: we are spoiled in the best way possible with the scenic views right outside our door in the Mountain State. And some views are worth popping into the car and taking a half day or so to go see them in person. The adventure becomes even more thrilling when you can add a new-to-you restaurant into the plans.
The Front Porch Restaurant at Seneca Rocks is just the place to make it happen.
Located upstairs from Harper's Old Country Store, the Front Porch Restaurant is aptly named. The seating on the second-story front porch is cozy and the view is simply surreal.
The building was built in 1902, and the general store beneath the restaurant is the oldest general store in West Virginia.
To get to the delicious food, head upstairs and order a hot toasted sub, a sandwich, salad, or a hand-tossed pizza made any what you like it.
Then pop out on the front porch and gawk at the famous mountain crag known as Seneca Rocks.
The rock is a popular challenge for rock climbers from all over the world. Bring some binoculars (or purchase some downstairs in the store) and see how many climbers you can spot while you eat! Can you see all eight of the climbers on the rock in this image?!
Speaking of the awesome view from the restaurant... that view works both ways. Here's a view of the restaurant from the top of Seneca Rocks! Wow.
