This Small Town Washington Pub Has Some Of The Best Burgers In The West
Valley Tavern in Port Hadlock is renowned for its legendary parties and delicious burgers, making it a beloved local spot.
Port Hadlock is a tiny town in Jefferson County, located just south of Port Townsend. And while there's definitely not much to it, it does have one claim to fame -- a small pub with some of the best burgers on the planet as well as some fun and lively locals.
This is the Valley Tavern, located at 21 Chimacum Rd. in Port Hadlock.
This place is dated, unpretentious, and laid back -- and that's just the way the locals like it.
It doesn't pretend to be anything other than a casual place to enjoy a meal or a cold beer. It's often described as divey in the best way.
Owners Chuck and Karen Russell run a tight ship, ensuring the patrons are happy...
... and they really know how to have fun.
The parties here are legendary.
If you go, forget any diet you may be on and treat yourself to a famous Valley Burger.
It's a half-pound patty topped with the works: jalapenos, onions, a special sauce, and a ton of delicious Tillamook cheese, finished off with pickle slices.
The classic pub food here is far from fancy, but it doesn't have to be. It's delicious exactly as it is.
In the summertime, you can enjoy live music, cold drinks and pub grub in the beer garden.
This has been a local tradition for decades.
And if you're looking to take in a Seahawks game over a basket of wings, this is the place.
The Valley Pub is a good reminder that you should never judge a book by its cover. These unassuming but excellent restaurants are proof of that.
