The Chimacum Valley is a small agricultural area that sits on the eastern end of the Olympic Peninsula. And when we say there's not much to the little town of Chimacum, that's quite an understatement. But if you ever find yourself passing through (and you might, on your way to Port Townsend), make sure to stop by Farm's Reach Cafe for a good, old-fashioned home-cooked breakfast or a giant sandwich. The cafe is small in size but big on charm.
Farm's Reach Cafe is located in the heart of Chimacum, on Beaver Valley Road.
The little roadside eatery is impossible to miss.
The cafe is owned and operated by Arianna and William "Bege" Patterson, who founded the place in May of 2014.
The couple set out with a goal of supporting local organic farming and maintaining a sustainable and environmentally friendly business. You certainly won't see any styrofoam here.
The ingredients for the food are all sourced locally, some of which come from the onsite garden.
Arianna and William are passionate about supporting the local economy. They donate to several local charities and even work with the local library branch on programs that promote reading.
The cafe has a small indoor dining area and a large patio that tends to stay packed all summer.
Due to current conditions, the cafe is temporarily only offering takeout. The good news is they now have a drive-up window for contact-free pickup.
While the breakfast menu is currently limited, it won't be forever... and in the meantime, you'll still find some classic favorites on the menu.
Go now and show your support for this local business, then go again when they're fully open and eat your weight in Benedict.
From biscuits and gravy to country fried steaks, this place offers old-fashioned country cooking at its finest.
We're not saying the food will taste better because it's fresh and local, but we're definitely not saying it won't, either.
In addition to the tasty breakfast menu, the cafe offers a fantastic selection of sandwiches.
The sandwiches are priced at $8.50 and $9.50, but you'll get more than your money's worth in toppings.
The cafe is still able to serve their full lineup of espresso drinks, which just happen to pair perfectly with their decadent desserts.
Get here early, and you'll have your choice of pastries or cookies. They'll even make you a special occasion cake or pie upon request (with proper notice).
Currently, Farm's Reach Cafe is open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. for drive-thru pick ups. Limited menu or not, this place is always worth stopping for.
