This Small Washington City Has Tons Of Delicious Restaurants You’re Probably Overlooking
Burien, located south of Seattle, offers a variety of top-notch eateries that rival those in the big city.
Burien is located just a few miles south of Seattle, but you won't find the bustling energy of the big city there. What you will find are streets lined with some of the best eateries in the area, many of which could compete with some of Seattle's top restaurants.
This little city is truly worth checking out when you're hungry. These are just a few of Burien's best dining options.
1. Burien Fish House, 133 SW 153rd St.
For over three years, this underrated gem has been serving scrumptious crispy cod tacos, sandwiches, and fresh fish & chips. This venture started as a food truck, and the brick and mortar restaurant became a local favorite fast.
2. 909 Coffee and Wine, 909 SW 152nd St.
This cozy neighborhood gem serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily (except for Sundays, when they close after brunch). With so many tasty options on each menu, it's worth enjoying all three meals here at least once.
3. Frankie's B-Town Bistro, 653 SW 152nd St.
The cozy old world ambiance and welcoming atmosphere at Frankie's will win you over before you even try the food. But the affordable Italian food, which is made from fresh, local ingredients, will keep you coming back for more.
4. Huckleberry Square, 14423 Ambaum Blvd SW.
For over 40 years, this family-owned eatery has been serving enormous breakfasts, burgers, and award-winning huckleberry pie. All the soups, sauces, and gravies are made in-house using preservative-free ingredients.
5. Taqueria La Estacion, 14820 Ambaum Blvd SW
Burien has several great Mexican restaurants, but this one is exceptional. Not only does Taqueria La Estacion serve excellent food, but it's train-themed, which adds a quirky touch.
6. Bistro Baffi, 15217 21st Ave. SW Ste A
Enjoy a meal inside this intimate dining room or on the patio and you'll swear you're in Europe. The Italian cuisine here is creative, and with the owner (who is an internationally known chef) shopping at Pike Place Market every morning, you can count on everything being fresh.
7. Marlaina's Mediterranean Kitchen,
643 SW 152nd St.
When you're craving Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, head straight to Marlaina's. The meats are slow-roasted, the recipes are authentic, and they offer plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.
This is just a small sample of the deliciousness you'll find in Burien. Sometimes it's the smallest cities and towns that have the best restaurants.
