Enjoy a Cozy Dinner out at This Restaurant at an Inn in Washington

This inn and restaurant is tucked away in the forest, just a short drive from Mount Rainier National Park.

Mount Rainier National Park is a destination that belongs on every bucket list. This beautiful Washington park gives you the perfect escape into nature. It’s a place where you can leave all of your worries behind and immerse yourself in pure natural beauty. And when you aren’t quite ready to step away from the beauty and relaxation found in this natural area, we’ve got just the place for you — Copper Creek Inn. This historic resort is located just two miles outside of Mount Rainier National Park and offers gorgeous places to stay, an event venue, and a delicious restaurant that will make your mouth water.

Tucked away in the forest, just a short drive from the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainer, is Copper Creek Inn, a family-run business where you'll enjoy rest, relaxation, and adventure. Here, you’ll find a boutique hotel and cabins with hot tubs that are scattered throughout 11 acres in the forest. Whether you stay in a cabin or suite, you’ll find it hard to leave as there are amenities for everyone throughout the property.

And as soon as you arrive, you’ll immediately be drawn in by the beauty of the area. In fact, Copper Creek Inn is a lovely event venue where you can have a true woodland event with a canopy of fir and cedars over you — nothing could be better.

While this is a true getaway destination in Washington, if you only have a short amount of time to spare, I strongly recommend you make the effort to visit the restaurant at the Copper Creek Inn.

The Copper Creek Restaurant isn’t your typical place to eat. This restaurant dates back to 1946 and is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Washington State. As you walk inside, you’ll immediately feel the welcoming atmosphere that has kept the restaurant in business for so many decades.

Depending on the day of the week, this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But no matter what time of day you stop by, you’ll find plenty of options on the menu to satisfy every craving. For breakfast, choose from items like biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, French toast, old-fashioned pancakes, and more.

For lunch and dinner, you’ll have your choice of a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads, and burgers. One of the most popular items on the menu is the flat iron steak, which is served during the peak season at the restaurant. There is also a kid’s menu with plenty of child-friendly favorites like French toast sticks for breakfast and grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch or dinner. You’ll also want to take a look at the daily specials that are listed each day at the restaurant — you may just find your new favorite entree.

While Copper Creek Restaurant has many delicious items to choose from, it is well known for its blackberry items on the menu. Try the award-winning blackberry jam and blackberry butter with your breakfast biscuits, the blackberry syrup on your French toast and pancakes, and the blackberry vinaigrette on your salad. You also will not want to leave without trying the famous blackberry pie, which has been a favorite at this restaurant for more than 50 years. I recommend you have a slice at the restaurant and take one home with you — you will thank me later.

Copper Creek Restaurant is not only a delightful place to stay but it’s the perfect spot for a cozy dinner in Washington State. You can learn more about this restaurant, as well as the Copper Creek Inn’s lodging and venue options, on the Copper Creek Inn website. I also recommend following the Copper Creek Inn Facebook page for current news and updates.
