There’s A Cheese Haven Hiding In Vermont And It’s Everything You’ve Dreamed And More

Plymouth Cheese Factory in Vermont offers a unique experience with its cheese museum, factory tours, and a wide selection of artisan cheeses.

We all have our favorite cheese shops, but there is one Vermont cheese store that is a little bit different than all the rest. It is the second oldest cheesemaking operation in the U.S. Not only does this dreamy place make its own cheese, it has a cheese museum, and a cheese factory tour. Let's take a look at this mega cheese haven:

The Plymouth Cheese Factory is located in the town of Plymouth. It was started by John Coolidge, the father of President Calvin Coolidge, in 1890.

The Coolidge family continued to make the cheese until 1998. Jesse Werner took over the factory in 2009 as the new cheesemaker.

Visit the cheese store and you'll be in awe at the many products offered here.

The cooler is stocked full of Plymouth Artisan Cheeses. There are almost too many to choose between.

Don't forget to grab a bag of cheese curds. These are made over hours in the same fashion as during the 1890s.

Browse the selection of jams, caramel, hot chocolate, and more. This is a gift shop that has something for everyone.

Take a self-guided factory tour where you look though glass windows to get a peek at the cheese making process.

Wander through the cheese museum to see vintage equipment and tools of yesteryear.
