How to Find This Secret Bar on College Street
While the name is easy to remember, finding Lincolns might be a bit of a challenge. You'll need to keep your eyes peeled for the secret door on College Street to enter this hidden speakeasy in Vermont. In fact, it's so easy to miss that most people have no idea it's there! Essentially, you'll want to find the alleyway next to Red Square on Church Street known as Thorsen Way. There are two doors to the left of what used to be the entrance to BKK in the alley. Lincolns is the door on the far left, and once you go inside, you'll see a bookshelf with an ATM next to it. The bookshelf is actually the door! You can pull on it or find the grey wooden panel that works as a handle.
Upon entering this unique bar, we think it'll be easy to imagine that you've been transported in time. In addition to the historical memorabilia on the walls, the furniture could easily pass for decor that perhaps was once used by Abe Lincoln himself!
What to Expect: Affordable Drinks and a Cozy, Laid-Back Vibe
Although the process of getting into this secret spot in Vermont might seem a bit mysterious, the vibe in the bar is very friendly and welcoming. It's the kind of place that, although there are a handful of locations throughout the country, feels hyper-local to each city it calls home. The cash-only bar menu features classic vodka, rum, and tequila-based cocktails. In addition to being delicious, drinks are refreshingly affordable. In fact, every single drink is priced at just $5, tax included. Patrons are even welcome to bring in outside food.
As you can imagine, the romantic, hidden-away feel of this Vermont speakeasy is ideal for date night or an evening out with your special someone. Lincolns is open from 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It closes at midnight on Tuesday and Wednesday and at 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. Don't forget to bring cash!
