The Roof Restaurant is located in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

The building's address is 15 E. South Temple.

The building was completed in 1911. It was originally Hotel Utah - one of the Beehive State's grand hotels.

In 1993, after extensive renovations, the building was renamed The Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Many of the original architectural details were preserved.

The Roof Restaurant is located on the 10th floor.

There's a beautiful, historic fountain located at the restaurant's entrance.

The big draw at The Roof, though...is the view.

Dinner at The Roof is served buffet-style.

The price of the buffet includes everything - from appetizers, salad and soup to main courses, soft drinks and desserts.

As of this posting, the price for adults is $42; youth 7-11 years old is $18; children 4-6 years is $9.

There's a wide assortment of cheeses and pickled vegetables to choose from.

Enjoy cold poached salmon, shrimp and ceviche shots.

The entrees are diverse - there's something here for everyone.

Choose from prime rib, honey-baked home, flank steak and hot pasta.
