Chip is a unique concept in Utah's bakery scene. This little shop specializes in one thing and one thing only: chocolate chip cookies. The first location, in Provo, opened up in October, 2016 and it's doing so well that they just opened a Salt Lake City location.

Chip typically offers two choices: their signature chocolate chip cookies, or their monthly special cookies. The menu is straightforward and simple; cookies are sold in batches of four, and they're baked fresh after you order them.

Biting into one of these beauties is like going back to your childhood, when your mom baked chocolate chip cookies. Once they'd finally cooled down enough to take that first bite, the sugar and chocolate washed over your tiny tastebuds and you experienced pure joy. It's like that.

The reason that these cookies are so divine is that Chip only uses the highest quality ingredients, and they bake them the old-fashioned way, only with a bigger mixer and much larger oven.

Chip Cookie's business model is based on delivery. That's right...they'll deliver four freshly-baked cookies right to your door 30-45 minutes after you order. They deliver Monday through Friday from Noon to 2 a.m; Saturday Noon to Midnight.

If you'd rather visit one of their locations and pick up your cookies in person, you'll be greeted at the door with the smell of cookies baking in the oven. You might end up leaving with way more cookies than you'd originally planned.

The cookie shops aren't fancy; they're basically just a customer counter, and you can see the entire cookie baking operation. It's mesmerizing to watch them bake your cookies right after you order them.
