This Regional Restaurant Is One Of Texas’ Favorite Places To Dine
Steak is basically a food group here in Texas, and few places serve it up quite like Perry's Steakhouse & Grille. Perry's was established in Houston over 40 years ago and has successfully expanded into several other states - and all it takes is one bite to understand why. With an unwavering commitment to impeccable service, unmatched flavor, and top-quality ingredients, Perry's is truly a cut above the rest.
While Perry's Steakhouse & Grille now has locations in several other states, it got its start in Houston as a humble, family-owned meat market in 1979.
The flagship restaurant opened in 1993, and, as they say, the rest is history.
The motto at Perry's is "Rare & Well Done," and that encompasses both the food and the atmosphere.
Between the upscale ambiance, impeccable service, and exquisite cuisine, everything about Perry's is noteworthy.
Menus vary by location, but you'll see many of the same offerings across the board.
Let's start with the pièce de résistance: the steaks and chops. Perry's starts with hand-selected USDA-aged, prime steaks that are cut fresh daily. The restaurant's signature steak seasoning and special finishing butter are like the cherry on top of a delicious sundae, guaranteeing a melt-in-your-mouth flavor explosion.
There are nearly a dozen cuts to choose from, so whether you prefer a filet mignon or bone-in New York Strip, rest assured everyone can find their perfect bite.
Even better, you can customize your steak in a variety of delicious ways. Perhaps you'd like yours coffee-crusted or topped with a luscious truffle merlot demiglace? Toppings such as chargrilled oysters and crab cakes are also available.
In addition to its succulent steaks, Perry's is also known for incredible appetizers such as calamari and escargot.
As far as alternative entrees go, those who don't eat red meat have nothing to fear. The menu is brimming with seafood and chicken dishes that are just as amazing as the steaks. Perry's even offers vegan options!
You simply can't leave without trying one of the restaurant's famous desserts. (I have a major sweet tooth, so I always make sure to save room!).
From creme brulee to bananas foster to rocky road bread pudding, the selections are sophisticated, decadent, and - in my opinion - life-changing.
Perry's also boasts a remarkable wine list with labels from all over the world.
Ask your server about wine pairings; choosing the right bottle can elevate a meal more than one might initially think!
