The Most Mouthwatering Dessert Is Waiting For You Inside This Hidden Nashville Kitchen

Nashville is gaining a bigger and bigger reputation as a foodie city. It can be hard to find that hidden gem of a restaurant or that absolutely perfect dish when so many restaurants are popping up left and right. Luckily, we found one place in Nashville that fits both of those criteria. While the Nashville natives out there have known about Jackson's for a good while, it's one of the few places that hasn't been overtaken by the crowds and crowds that you'll find at other restaurants. As for the perfect dish? Jackson's has something truly unique waiting for you on their dessert menu....

Editor's Note: Unfortunately, this eatery has closed its doors. Fortunately, there are other awesome landmarks that serve delicious desserts in Nashville!

Jackson's Bar and Bistro is one of Nashville's hidden gems. They serve up lunch, dinner, late-night food (a favorite feature of local college students), and weekend brunch.

Located in the Hillsboro Village neighborhood of Nashville, Jackson's can be easy to overlook among the plethora of other shops and restaurants, but that would be a serious mistake.

At Jackson's, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the variety of foods that they offer. From their delicious burgers to their famous brunch offerings, you really can't go wrong. But there's one item on the menu that's truly unique....

Enter the cookie dough egg roll. These delicious creations are cookie dough wrapped in egg roll pastry and flash-fried to perfection.

Just look at these guys! They're worth the trip to Jackson's by themselves. Served up with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, this really is a dish from heaven.

We definitely recommend sitting in their covered patio -- especially if you're a dog lover. Canine friends are allowed in the patio, which is covered, heated, and open year round. Plus? It's consistently voted one of the best in Nashville.

So what are you waiting for? Head on down to Jackson's at 1800 21st Ave S. Their hours, specials, and menus can be found at their website here.

After you're done eating your egg rolls, take a short drive to Clarksville and walk them off at This Huge Tennessee Flea Market.
