South Dakota has some pretty great pizza parlors, but there's one that was recently named the best pizza in the northwest region! Take a look at Dempsey's Brewery Restaurant and Pub.
You'll find Dempsey's at 127 N. Broadway, in Watertown.
Bill Dempsey is the original owner and founder of Dempsey's (He's also super talented on the bagpipes). The restaurant is now owned and managed by his son, Sean.
Sean recently attended the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, where he took home 1st place for Traditional Pizza in the NW Division.
This lively place is friendly and cozy - the kind of place where locals gather and visitors quickly become regulars.
You'll love dining on the deck when the weather's nice.
The pretzels are hand-made right here in the kitchen. Start with one as an appetizer with some bier cheese.
Some of Sean Dempsey's creations are unique.
The Five Oceans pizza has salmon, two kinds of olives, basil, feta and fresh mozzarella.
The pizzas here are all baked in a double-decker brick oven. Dempsey's serves up about 350 pizzas every week!
The pepperoni and mushroom is Bill's favorite - it might be yours too, once you try it.
If you're in the mood to try something besides pizza, you'll find some other delicious items on the menu.
The Italian Pan Fry comes with two hand-breaded chicken breasts served with a champagne cream mushroom sauce.
You'll definitely want to save room for dessert.

Enjoy an Irish Breakfast on Sundays 9:00 am to noon.
Scrambled eggs, grilled banger, smoked pork loin, baked beans, bacon and honey-stout toast.
You'll also find some amazing beer here! You can even tour the brewery - ask for Brewmaster Adam Erickson.
This place doesn't just get awards for its pizza. Here's brewmaster and bartender Adam Erickson with his "Overall Champion Best Bartender 2017" award from the Deadwoods Annual Forks, Corks, & Kegs Event.
You'll find a half dozen or so specially brewed beers. Order the sampler to try a bunch!
