The Delicious Chocolate Shop in South Dakota to Visit for a Sweet Treat

Fun fact for chocolate lovers: South Dakota has dozens of incredible chocolatiers and chocolate shops peppered throughout the state. I wouldn't guess it either, but now that I do know, I can't get enough. I'm always on the lookout for my next favorite mom-and-pop shop, and today, I found one: Mostly Chocolates is a locally owned and operated little delight that's sure to put a smile on your face each and every time you take a bite (and you won't be able to stop taking bites).

No matter the season, you'll find something to bring joy to yourself or anyone you're planning to gift your spoils to (lucky them).

This little shop is nestled in the Black Hills, and each treat is handmade in-house. It is a place of chocolate lovers' wildest dreams, offering some of the best chocolate and confectionery delights in either of the Dakotas. With an assortment of truffles, coffee, fudge, chocolates, and more, good luck picking just a few things to take home with you. I personally can't help but leave with a heap of items - perhaps you'll have better self-control than I do (spoiler: I have none).

But can you blame me? From the moment you wander into the shop, you're enveloped by the incredible scent of chocolate of all kinds. The air has a warm sweetness to it, and the folks behind the counter are happy to answer any questions and hand over some of the best chocolate you'll ever taste for affordable prices your wallet will love.

One of my all-time favorite things is chocolate-dipped strawberries; you'll find them in abundance at Mostly Chocolates, typically starting in the spring.

Even if you can't physically come to the store, no worries - you can order online and have your goodies delivered (10/10, highly recommend). Coffee lovers will adore the in-house blend by Dark Canyon Coffee Company; it pairs excellently with just about any chocolate you can find at this little shop, and it's a must-try even for those who aren't all that jazzed about coffee.
