Enjoy A Sense Of Peace At This Incredible Waterfront Restaurant In South Carolina

There's something incredibly peaceful about dining by the water – or doing anything by the water, for that matter. You could have had the most stressful day, but if you are able to take a walk by the river, sit for a while on the beach, or enjoy a delicious dinner at a great waterfront restaurant, it can do wonders for your mental health and make the day a little better. And in South Carolina, we've got so many options for waterfront dining! I mean, people travel here for vacation and are moving here in droves, partly because of our beautiful beaches. If you limit yourself to just the ocean, though, you'll miss out on our other wonderful waterfront spots, such as the River Room in Georgetown on the scenic Winyah Bay.

The River Room restaurant is located on Front Street, which is the historic town's "Main Street", in the midst of a downtown on the waterfront offering a scenic view of the Sampit River via the Harborwalk, unique shops and restaurants, and historic homes within walking distance.

The eatery recently added a patio dining area so patrons can enjoy their meal outdoors.

But it's actually in the space indoors where you'll get the tranquil water views of the beautiful Sampit River while you eat. It's a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service.

Although the focus here really is seafood, you'll find a diverse menu at The River Room with options including steak and chicken for any who may like to order something besides seafood.

The wine selection is extensive with some unusual and tasty selections you might not expect. There's also a full bar and plenty of beer choices.

Just be sure to leave room for dessert, especially if you like peanut butter pie. Oh, my!
