You wouldn't expect to find a lighthouse hundreds of miles from the coast. And while The Lighthouse Restaurant and Event Center in Seneca doesn't have a true, working lighthouse, that part of its architecture adds interest, character, and a unique ambiance to this spot at Lake Keowee. When you add the spectacular panoramic views you get to enjoy while dining, it makes for a memorable experience at this lakeside restaurant in South Carolina.
The Lighthouse Restaurant and Event Center is located on Doug Hollow Road (State Road S-37-15) in the town of Seneca, which is about 37 miles southwest of Greenville.
Situated by beautiful Lake Keowee, you can even dock at the restaurant on the weekends if you happen to be boating when the restaurant is open (double-check prior to confirm the hours).
The panoramic views of the lake and mountains you'll enjoy while dining are simply spectacular.
There are several dining areas to choose from, including a cabana near the dock which can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Sometimes there's entertainment at the cabana as well.
Time your meal to be there when the sun sets for this type of view. Breathtaking!
Choose from a variety of options on the menu, with some of the customer favorites including the crab pretzel appetizer and cheddar grits side dish.
If the weather isn't so nice or you'd just rather be indoors, you can ask to be seated upstairs which is where you'll get the best views of Lake Keowee while you eat.
The Lighthouse Restaurant and Event Center sometimes offers special events like an ugly sweater contest at Christmas. Don't have an ugly sweater? Check your favorite local thrift stores in South Carolina or shop ugly Christmas sweaters on Etsy.
This restaurant and event center is also the perfect spot to reserve for your special event. It has a private dining room that holds up to 30 guests.
Visit the Lighthouse Restaurant and Event Center website for additional details and follow the Lighthouse Restaurant and Event Center Facebook page for updates.
