Found in Spartanburg's Northside neighborhood at 498 Howard Street, Monarch Cafe is a trendy but casual eatery with clean lines and plenty of natural light.
It's owned and operated by a 501(c)3 organization whose mission it is to change the lives of those less financially fortunate. That's because Monarch has a culinary job training program that trains unemployed people to work in the food service industry.
And what a training it is! Just wait until you taste the delicious food cooked here!
The cafe serves breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Saturday.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting and bright and even cheery with the walls of the establishment lined with cases of fresh foods available for purchase such as fruits and vegetables.
But before you shop, you'll want to have a delicious bite to eat. The menu changes often so there's always something new and different to check out.
Monarch also offers catering services for your next event. So inquire within if you have an interest!
Monarch Cafe and Fresh Food Store is open five days per week.
The hours are Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
