There’s A Sweet New Hot Chocolate Bar At The Chanler In Rhode Island

Recently, The Chanler At Cliff Walk was named The Number One Hotel in Newport by U.S. News and World Report. And while you never need an excuse to visit these luxurious accommodations, you'll have an extra-sweet reason to go before March is over. The Chanler has brought back its popular hot chocolate bar, and it's exceptionally delicious this year.

The Chanler is located 117 Memorial Boulevard in Newport, along the magical Cliff Walk trail (hence its name).

Over the years, it's become a local icon and a hot spot for out of state guests.

The hotel has two eateries: Cara, which is fine dining, and The Cafe, which is a bit more laid back and casual.

The Hot Chocolate Bar is located in The Cafe.

Every day from noon until 5 p.m., hotel guests and locals can stop by and choose between three scrumptious hot chocolate options.

The restaurant's chefs created the recipes themselves using the world's finest chocolate ingredients.

Order a classic Milk Chocolate, Callebaut chocolate, caramel pearls, white and dark chocolate curls, whipped cream, and crispy dipping cookies for a real treat.

Other options include Dark Chocolate (Callebaut chocolate, dark chocolate pearls, brownie, marshmallows, hibiscus scented whipped cream) and Peruvian Magic (spiced cinnamon dark Peruvian chocolate with alfajores, gooseberry, and malted milk whipped cream). If you really want to treat yourself, you can add the perfect alcohol pairing, which your server will recommend.

The Hot Chocolate Bar was so wildly popular last year that the team at The Chanler decided to bring it back.

Needless to say, we're very glad they did.

You're welcome to take your hot chocolate to your room if you're a hotel guest, or you can opt to enjoy it around the fire pit while you listen to the sounds of the ocean.

Of course, you can always stay inside The Cafe and order lunch from their delicious menu.
