You Will Love This Dreamy Ride Through The Largest Drive-Thru Light Show In Oregon

Winter Wonderland at Portland International Raceway offers Oregon's largest drive-thru light show with 250 displays, benefiting the Sunshine Division.

While Christmas is still more than a month away, many holiday attractions open soon, so you'll want to start planning your festivities now. If bright, twinkling lights delight you, you'll want to put this drive-thru light show on your calendar.

There's no better way to enjoy the magic of holiday lights than at Winter Wonderland, Oregon's largest drive-thru light show. It's located at the Portland International Raceway at 1940 N. Victory Blvd., Portland, OR 97217.

Drive through a magical tunnel of sparkling lights for a holiday experience unlike any other.

Winter Wonderland includes 250 different light displays, and you'll drive right along the raceway's track to see them all.

From formal soldiers standing tall...

...to whimsical penguins all lined up in front of their igloo, these light displays are sure to delight even Scrooge himself.

Opening night at Winter Wonderland is November 23rd, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.. Get there early — the first 100 cars will get an Adidas employee store pass.

2018 is the 26th year of this annual attraction, which benefits Sunshine Division, a Portland non-profit that provides much-needed food and clothing to Oregon families in four counties.

Admission is just $22 per car, and all proceeds go directly to Sunshine Division. You'll enjoy a fabulous, holiday-themed evening, and help others in need at the same time! More than 43 tons of food has been donated to this non-profit over the years.

There are three special events when cars aren't allowed here during the holiday season, and you'll want to mark them on your calendar.

On Tuesday, November 27th, dress up your bike with lights and bring it to the raceway for the Bike the Lights Night. This popular event draws as many as 1,200 holiday revelers, proving that Portland really is the bike capital of the world.

Dress the kiddos up, too! During this special event, kids 12 and younger get in free, and adults pay just $6 each.

Tuesday, December 4th is Lights and Leashes Dog Walk Night, so bring your pup for a stroll through the lights. K-9 pups from Portland's Police Bureau will be there to say hello.

Adorn your pooch in holiday splendor, and he might even win a prize in the holiday costume contest. Kids 12 and younger (and pups of all ages!) get in free, and adults pay $6 for admission.

Just because Halloween is over doesn't mean you can't dress up in wild and crazy costumes. Join in the fun on Tuesday, December 6th for the Night of Holiday Misfits from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Tickets are just $6 per person, but adults 21 and older can pay $15 and enjoy five beer and cider tastings while walking through the holiday lights.

Before you head to Winter Wonderland, you'll want a few special tips:

Make sure to remove winter chains from your tires before visiting — they're not allowed on the racetrack (studded tires are also a no-no).

This incredible attraction gets really busy right before Christmas, so make plans to visit early in the season. In fact, if you take in the sights between November 23rd and December 13th, you'll get in for just $20 per car.

You can also save $2 on your ticket by purchasing it in advance on Winter Wonderland's website.
