Be The First To Try This Authentic Thai-Chinese Restaurant In Oregon Inspired By The Chinatown Of Bangkok
Want to try delicious Thai-Chinese food in Oregon? Try the newly-opened Yaowarat in Portland's hip Montevilla neighborhood. This delicious, unique new restaurant opened to rave reviews. I was blown away by this fantastic food and can't wait to return!
Yaowarat offers unique, flavorful dishes you won't find anywhere else in town. All the dishes we tried — from the appetizers to the noodles and main dishes — were a delight.
Yaowarat restaurant is inspired by the Yaowarat Chinatown of Bangkok, one of the largest Chinatowns in the world.
The festive, colorful decor makes dining here even more fun.
This awesome spot is located in the previous home of The Country Cat and Lazy Susan restaurants. But it's been completely transformed.
Appetizers include pickled cabbage salad, chive cakes, and crispy bean curd dumplings.
The delicate, crispy dumpling wrappers are amazingly light and delicious.
My favorite dish was the stir-fried wide rice noodle with chicken, which our server said has quickly become the menu's most popular dish.
I also recommend the black pepper beef and the stir-fried Asian greens.
Other dishes include noodles with shrimp, fried rice, and black bean tofu.
Next time, I hope to come with a larger group to try even more items!
One thing that really elevates this spot is the attention to detail, from the customized plates to the unique dipping sauces.
The cocktails were also creative and delicious.
You really can't go wrong!
Check out their menu and other restaurant information on the Yaowarat website. If your visit to Portland includes a drive, you may want to stock up on car-friendly snacks for the trip there but be sure to save room for this fabulous meal.
