The Greek Restaurant In Oregon With Food So Good You’ll Ask For Seconds… And Thirds
Oregon has no shortage of delicious Greek restaurants. However, there's one that stands out, for me, as a place where I always end up wanting to order more. And that's Bluto's, located in Southeast Portland on Belmont Avenue. In fact, the last time I went, I got seconds and then thirds. Yes, I brought home leftovers, but everything was so good that I couldn't help trying a few more items.
Known for its wood-fired cooking technique, Bluto's serves juicy skewers of wild shrimp, spiced lamb, oregano chicken, and veggies. So, if you're in the mood for a Greek restaurant that churns out fabulous plate after plate, head to Bluto's for a meal you won't want to end.
Bluto's serves up inspired takes on Greek classics like hummus, spanakopita, tzatziki, souvlaki, Greek salad, and pita. Everything I've tried is fantastic, but I particularly love the Greek fries, which come sprinkled with halloumi, lemon, and herbs.
My second favorite is the spanakopita hand pie, which comes drizzled with honey and is a sticky delight.
You'll be hard-pressed to select just a few items, so bring a group and order everything on the menu!
Order at the counter and then take a seat. The servers will bring your meal to you.
Watch the cooks work their magic at the wood-fired grill.
The inviting sleek white and blue interior offers ample seating.
Fries and souvlaki make a perfect meal. Be sure to get some pita, too.
Bluto's offers two types of hummus, one outstanding traditional option and one with pork belly.
Enjoy tasty skewers of meat or veggies hot off the grill with a fluffy pita.
The Bluto's Wedge is one of my favorite salads in town. The beet quinoa salad is also a great pick.
You'll find a refreshing mix of cocktails. My favorites are the Greek to Me (tequila, cucumber juice, and lime) and the Ouzo Mojito (ouzo, muddled lime, mint, and simple syrup).
Bluto's also offers a wine list. Get a serving of yummy soft serve for dessert.
Basically, everything on the menu is great! All in all, Bluto's offers a unique dining experience.
