An Unassuming Restaurant In Ohio, Tackle Box 2 Serves Some Of The Best Seafood Around

Here in Ohio, we have several exceptional seafood restaurants, but if you enjoy fried seafood, quirky decor and a change of pace in your dinner routine, then you’ll love one of Ohio’s most whimsical restaurants. Tackle Box 2 in Ohio doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's the seafood hiding on the inside that keeps locals and visitors alike coming back for more. Take a trip to Fremont, Ohio and enjoy some of the most scrumptious eats around.

Tucked away along the Sandusky River, you'll find this quirky restaurant that's known for its excellent perch and walleye.

It's located at 420 Sandusky Ave., Fremont, OH 43420. (Note: Although you can't see the restaurant's building from the road, the sign is visible from Sandusky Avenue.)

Upon arrival, you'll notice some tropical, fun decor that seems to welcome you to a riverside oasis, rather than a restaurant.

With the freshest fish around and a whimsical atmosphere, it's a popular restaurant for locals and visitors alike. The wait time can be a little long, but it's worth it.

Inside, you'll find lights, decorations and signs galore. It's a lot to take in, but it makes you feel welcome.

(You never know what you'll spot hanging from the ceiling.)

On the menu, you'll find a wide variety of seafood and traditional American classics. The Perch Sandwich and Perch Dinner are popular selections.

At the bar, the Bloody Mary is a crowd-pleaser among locals and passersby alike.

Out back, (weather permitting), you can even sit outside on the deck and get a great view of the Sandusky River in the warmer months.
